Well here is yet another split spread. Typically I usually try to get one image per page. My entire schedule lately has been chaotic though. It feels as though as soon as I get into my sketch its time for me to go.

None the less here's the result of utilizing left over space. The first part (right side) was started at the coffee shop. I am very pleased with the girl directly infront of me. The older woman further back was really a pain though. She was writting or grading regardless her movement was frantic. I definitely need to work on speed for those situations.

The later side was done later on in the evening. It's brought on by an earlier discussion with one of the art professors at the university. His recomendation for me was to work more on my atmospheric perspective. I feel this sketch performed this decently.

Let me know what you think and which you prefer of both sketches.

Well I certainly know I am not a professional  when it comes to cars trucks and vehicles. But living across from a park and elementary school I get to see an array of all sorts of vehicles.

Here was an intent on building and working on my skills when it comes to drawing trucks. A friend of ours who always visits made the perfect practice. I figured being that they visit fairly often I'd be able to work on the sketch a few times. This one was alright.

Now this one made for a great story. One day I woke up with my coffee and saw a van pull up and a few people got out and had a pic-nic at the park.

They stayed till late that night. The next morning as I once again woke up with my cup of coffee I saw the same van yet again pull up. The pulled out some food and yet again used the grill at the park. Staying late till after sun-down but eventually left.

This all continued on for at least a week, almost two. I began to wonder if they simply were pulling up to a 24hr gas station, staying the night in their van, and went to the park during the day. Perhaps they were merely traveling and this was their relax and rest from driving week who knows.

All I know is they came often enough that I even managed to start working on a water color of their blue van.
